How do I get back to my career as a software tester?

I worked as a manual tester for 2 years and took a break because I had kids. Now when I apply for jobs, I couldn't get a call back as there is a gap in my career. It’s been 3 years since I worked and I live in UK.

I have taken selenium automation testing course online.And what are the recent technologies/tools that I have to learn so I can improve.

do you use image recognition testing tools like Sikulix ?

How do you overcome the restrictions that the test tool needs always to be executed in a screen with the same resolution ? 

Usually the test case fails when is executed in a screen with a different resolutions.

Are any tools / image matching algorithms that allow to overcome this limitation?

I am a CS graduate student taking a course on Software Engineering. I would like to eventually do a project on generating test cases from software requirements but first I would like to understand why there aren't more tools doing so.

Hi,

We use a product from Blackbaud Inc. called Enterprise Constituent Management System. Over the past few years we have looked at various automation tools including some record and playback tools for UI testing. Another QA colleage is training on Selenium Webdriver.

What I'm hoping is to find out whether anyone has developed an automation framework or knows or one for a platform such as this. The vendor has been working on something as well.

This is a hosted environment.
