We are conducting a walk-in recruitment drive for manual testing professionals in our organization. For judging the aptitude of the candidate as regards to testing awareness, I require any sample web-based application (preferably open source). The aim is to make the candidate test the application and see how many bugs he/she can detect. This will show how sharp the candidate is as regards to testing and will also determine his/her oral and written communication skills.
If anybody knows about any such application, please contact me.
Thanks in advance.
I have changing requirements based on feedback from different stakeholders during development cycle quiet often. this leads to workflow change in the software. suggest efficient ways to identify the impacted test cases due to work flow change and any tools that will help.
note: tracebility doesn't help much because it just provides the direct impact on certain requirement and it's corresponding test cases but it doesnt provide other impacted requirements and test cases which has to flow through the changed workflow.
Very few people have an education specialization in software testing. Most of us arrived from a different path. What classes, specializations or skills did you learn that you find most useful as a tester?
Sometimes automation projects either fail or are made far more difficult because developers don't adopt automated testability as a design requirement. Are your developers aware of these?
What importance does you company put on the usability of its products? Do they focus on desinging and testing for usability?
If not, why not?
