Hi guys,

am new to the Specflow automation tool. Is there a user friendly gui  extension or bolt on available in Visual Studio for aiding the automation of test cases?

thanks

All of us have our own view of what MUST be the proper New Product Development phases. I believe those are:

1. Ideation: Come-up with an idea you think it could be a market winner.

2. Patenting: Evaluate the merit of getting Intellectual Property (IP) protection for your new product idea.

3. Design: Develop non or partially functioning models of your new product idea and start soliciting user feedback.

4. Feasibility Proof: Perform various technical/business studies to determine IF your new product idea is feasible.

Hello Everyone,

My experience has given me the ability to apply technology, in many forms. As a systems administrator my responsibilities have included support of various operating systems, scripting languages, vistualization software, web applications, etc. I have related course work in Computer Programming (C, C++, Java). Unfortunately, I dont have a Computer Science Degree. I'm interested in contiuing my education in Computer Programming to eventually get a degree.

Would a hiring manager consider my previous work experience for a QA position?

One of the challenges our QA faces is being able to test our application, which abstracts behavior from the SaaS API, such as the SF API, Eloqua API, Google API, etc., and ensuring the applicatino is behaving correctly.  Some SaaS sources have data that changes and we DO need to also verify data.  Since some of the SaaS sources are also not updateable programatically, you can't know if the SUT is in the state you need it.  Thoughts?

I'm doing a 508 testing on a website using JAws tool. I'm required to write test cases based on that. How can you write them using JAWS?

Hi,

I am curenlty working in an agile environment as a manual tester and having a hard time in explaining the user stories to the developers so they can implement it properly. Althought the user stories are self explained but still they come to me and ask many questions. I don't have enough time to explain and then test it.

Each QA automation team has its own specific priorities when choosing a test automation tool to facilitate the UI regression testing process. But what approach is more popular: a lightweight solution which is simple and quick grasp (but will not cover all your regression testing scope) or a full-scale test automation framework which can do much more but will require lots of time to create and maintain the test coverage?

My preference would be tools that have record and playback functionality.  There are lots of automated tools for Windows, but only a few for CentOS Linux.

Suggest few of the most preferred testing tools which are used to test apps based on REST APIs.

I actally need someone who actually provides security testing services. I have a ecommerce website with 10K-12K visitors per month. I need to make it secure.

Can anyone recommend SQA Forum to join or SQA user group in Boston area?  Office is in Boston.  Interested in following topics: Selenium WebDriver and UFT automated frameworks, agile testing, mobile testing non-apps (browser based websites on mobile devices).

I was recently asked how would I test a cheeseburger, followed up with how would I performance test a cheeseburger.

I've had other questions like how to write a test for a Coke machine, etc. I've never had this one.

Any advice?

I just want to do the best I can on the next interview. Any tips would really be appreciated.

Thank you.
