Suppose you work at a Company.

And a new Client arrives, he needs the system he has, and he continues to build, to be tested.

What is the approach you take, to find

-which tests to approach

-which tests to automate

-which tools to use

-how to build a solution for that client Testing and Automation testing needs?

I have been in software test for medical devices/software for the last five years, across three different companies. With my prior two organizations we formally validated our web-based software products only for the one or two most recent versions of Internet Explorer (at those times).

I am on a team of two working on standardizing testing for the company. The culture here is very resistant to change, as I am sure many colleagues on here have experienced themselves. I want to continue pushing this elephant up the stairs, but I am afraid some of these templates (IEEE 829 standard templates) are too dense for most of them. My mentality right now is to take this in strides.

I m new to IBM Rational Functional Tester. I wanted to know what is the career scope and future aspects of this tool. Is it used widely in the current industry?

Right now we are getting lot of requirements from the client to verify the website has ADA compliance?

I am tasked with coming up with a quick estimate to test a new complex internal website, multiple browsers, OS, mobile. Plan on using automation, is there any quick guesstimate i can use? thanks

Everyone is now looking for the automation testing. Because there is lot of problem happening in manual test case generation and execution. So, how can I increase users for manual testing? is any latest features there? if it means, please let me know..

I am in a debate with project managers over the control management and approach to documentation covering Security testing (Pen Testing)

They belive that this should be done by subject matter experts

with no test plan

with no specific detail in the Master Test Plan

With no input from the test manager

I believe it should be in the plans managed by the Test Manager and the test manager calls upon the SME resource to support and provide guidance.

What are the thoughts of the populus?

I want to sdo specialization in QA. At what area we can go for? any help please

What are the future options for one year experienced software tester?
