Hi, I'm just wondering what would a software tester do when they have iddle time and is encouraged to do exploratory test on the product. How do you set the test plan and what are things you would like to include on the test result report?
I am interested in hearing your thoughts on how End to End testing across multiple applications could/should be managed across agile teams, where the teams are responsible for an application/system with integration with another application/system.
I'd be interested in knowing how other companies handle this from a strategic and project level. Thanks
In traditional waterfall and agile processes we implement a test strategy to set expectations (and receive feedback) on approach for a release (multiple sprints of work) and test summary to capture results of the execution (functionl, security, and performance testing).
In a a CI/CD model when we have a 2 week sprint and plan to deploy every 2 weeks it seems a bit cumbersome to do a strategy and summary every 2 weeks. Ideally the summary could be pulled from an automation tool and produced to a dashboard so that should not be too bad.
Is there a different approach to the strategy?
Are there other quality tollgates (maybe a bad choice of words) that we should consider?
From a quality process audit perspective is there anything else to consider?
I am visiting my offshore team for the first time, ant tips on how to make the most of the trip?
We have an offshore team ratio 65-35. I have recently been appointed Head of the testing department and I am visiting the offshore team. Do you have any tips on what types of activities/tasks I can do with my team to get the most from this visit.
