This book provides a description of current software testing methodologies and addresses trends in the industry. It addresses current challenges and discusses ways to adapt and improve test processes to meet recent and future industry needs.

I found the text to be beneficial because I am currently heading efforts in my organization to improve testing processes to anticipate future needs. The book discusses the current state of the practice and what is considered state-of-the-art in software testing. It reviews essential aspects of the test process and works through starting a new approach to software testing, beginning with a clean slate. Finally, the book offers insight into managing the process to achieve desired gains in quality and put new processes in place in the organization.

I highly recommend this book. It would be helpful to all software test engineers, quality assurance, and test /QA management. It would be useful to managers to help provide methods for them to put process improvement in place in their organizations.
